2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,600 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.

Giusepps Italian restaurant for pasta and pizza in Tijuana

The MSCC group had a final evening together. The spaghetti and pizza were great on this rainy evening in Tijuana.

Sergio and bob Johnson orchestrated things.

Tacos El Gordo in Tijuana at 15 pesos each. Delicious.

Dinner in Tijuana the first evening is always a taco stand.

Taco El Gordo was a cute little taco stand somewhere deep in the downtown part of the city. Everyone had a good time trying the tongue and tripe tacos with real coke!

Christmas Day champagne brunch.

Champaign and sparkling cider brunch on Christmas Day.

CMD provided the ham and the excellent meal.

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve service

The gifts are wrapped under the tree.

Christmas Eve service was simple this year. No choir.

Kathleen and I had our annual poinsettia photo.

The cookies were good as always.

The next to last and last soccer games of the year

High school soccer always brings your officiating year to the end.

Newark vs Logan for a girls match with Gunter and Michael.

Easy match for this crew which Logan easily won.

The night was a beautiful night for soccer.

The next night it was Kennedy vs Logan for the boys which Kennedy kinda imploded on in the end with two send off and the coach ejected also.

Jessie N was the center. He gets around good for his size and M Coffey was the coach side AR so he got to see all the action.

Christmas cookie bake

Monday after noon I took of work to start the cookie making.

Val and Yasmin helped this year. TRK and Chris helped too.

CMD brought dinner and helped also.

Peanut butter and sand tarts.

Love actually was the movie we all liked best.

QDMK had an out as he was in Taiwan.

Grandpa’s iPad 2 was delivered during the dinner from FJ&LT.

Varsity boys games at Homestead HS

Michael W had the first center and call a great match. A little tight but the boys had a good time.

I had a little more to manage in the second game. With a keeper collision and a couple bad words between players things did get a little executing.

HS boys varsity a coach and a trashcan

This was a good varsity boys game. The tournament directors mt hamilton boys were smaller and the opposing santa teresa team.

Early in the match a careless late tackle by Santa Teresa resulted in an injures player in both teams.

In the 72nd meeting an empty trash can went two feet in the air and had a large dent in it after being kicked by the Santa Teresa coach. He had to go. He objected to that and had to be wrestled by the assistant coaches off the field.

Doron H and Jeff K were good support.
