Summer BBQ starts with Val’s surprise birthday party

Surprise birthday party for Val.

Yasmin did a great job setting up. Rudy cooked the lamb.

Marina brought paso Robles cab to go with the paso Robles turley zin.

Bob M and Val’s grandma also have close birthdays so we had lots of cake.

Rob E stopped in after boar hunting.

And DMK friends Tony and Hope and up coming roommate Nigel were there also.

Mens College match at CSU was fun.

Great field, big boys and the game went well.

Johannas and Steve M were the ARs and were excellent support.

Several early offside calls created a little confusion.

Everyone knew of the Craig Lowry offside incident in the DC United match the other week. See—wk4.php for a good photo of Craig.

PSL playoff match with new National Referee

This PSL men’s amateur match was high quality.

Joe D had just received his national referee badge in the mail so this was his first game wearing it.

Kurt K was the other ar.

This season will be his first in the MLS fir joe. He is a great referee and it was a privilege working with him. I had great game myself 🙂
